Profiles is hiring a UI Systems Engineer for a global retailer on a 6-month contract to perm opportunity
*MUST have experience within the eCommerce retail (clothing/garments) industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement complex UI components and interaction patterns that maintain design fidelity while meeting performance requirements
- Architect and develop reusable animation systems and transition frameworks that scale across our products
- Partner with UX Design Engineer and designers to evolve technical approaches for implementing advanced interface concepts
- Build and maintain core UI infrastructure components that enable consistent, high-quality user experiences
- Establish best practices for performance optimization in animation and interactive elements
- Provide technical leadership in front-end architecture decisions, particularly around UI performance and interaction complexity
Qualifications:
- Strong front-end engineering foundation with deep expertise in UI architecture and performance optimization
- Advanced knowledge of React patterns and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Expertise in complex CSS animations, transitions, and responsive design implementation
- Experience with iOS development in SwiftUI or UIKit
- Experience building and maintaining design system components at scale
- Understanding of UX principles and ability to collaborate effectively with designers
- Track record of solving complex technical challenges while maintaining exceptional user experience
