Scope
You are responsible for performing advanced HR Generalist duties & work closely with the Head of Human resources. You will carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas; salary & benefits administration, employee relations, training, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, regulatory areas & employment law compliance. You are essential to molding & shaping Profinium’s culture & creating an AMAZING employee experience!
Accountabilities
Human Resources Administration - 40%
- You maintain employment records, job descriptions, & all other administrative records for the department.
- You oversee all recruitment efforts, including identifying the targeted outreach necessary for each position, posting advertisements, crafting interview questions, conducting initial screenings & interviews for entry to mid-level positions, scheduling interviews with the hiring manager & CHRO & communication with candidates.
- You complete pre-employment testing, reference & background checks to assure an AMAZING quality of hire.
- You assist the CHRO with the performance review process annually.
- You ensure personnel policies & procedures meet compliance & regulatory requirements & make recommendations for updates as necessary.
- You maintain & update records required for annual filing requirements (AA, EEO, VETS, etc.).
- You oversee the new hire process, including new hire orientation, preparing new employee material, all new hire paperwork, benefit enrollment, scheduling department training sessions & general company information.
- You assist in the maintenance & distribution of the Employee Handbook annually.
- You maintain & update the Employee Directory.
- You are critical in identifying new & changing legal requirements & government reporting regulations affecting Human Resource functions (e.g., EEO, ERISA, Affirmative Action, Wage & Hour, and ADA).
- You recommend new approaches, changes, & revisions to policies & procedures to promote continual improvements in efficiency of department & provide the most AMAZING experience for our employees.
- You serve as a resource to employees for questions regarding employment, payroll, policy, benefit & regulatory issues.
Salary & Benefit Administration - 30%
- You maintain benefit plan records including all required semi-annual & annual compliance reports, ACA tracking & year-end reporting as well as ensure annual benefit disclosures are provided to all employees.
- You oversee the reconciliation of benefit statements with payroll deductions on a monthly basis.
- You oversee the management of compensation & salary grade entries in the HRIS system & ensure accuracy.
- You oversee the 401K Census & Audit process in partnership with the external auditor.
- You are the primary payroll processor & you are an expert in timecard management & HRIS system management.
- You oversee the worker’s compensation reporting & records as well as carrier & employee communication
- You Chair the Wellness Committee.
- You oversee the annual open enrollment process each year, including distribution of materials, communicating changes to employees, arranging educational meetings for employees, & processing changes within deadlines.
- You are responsible for facilitating all leave management, including employee meetings, communication, necessary paperwork, disability management, timekeeping records & supportive documentation.
Training / Development - 20%
- You oversee the training management system including curriculum development, assignments, ensuring compliance & regulatory trainings are completed & communications regarding the status of trainings.
- You conduct regularly scheduled instructor-led trainings & create & administer virtual trainings as needed.
- You work with hiring managers to establish new hire training plans
- You oversee Profinium’s Mentorship & Summit Guide programs & other employee engagement initiatives.
- You collaborate with managers to address employee performance and behavioral issues promptly.
- You support employees as needed through challenging issues that may arise in the workplace.
Other - 10%
- You assess emerging issues & potential liabilities.
- You complete special projects where advanced knowledge is required & provide department reporting as needed.
- You ensure compliance in all areas of HR law, organization policies, systems, processes, procedures & regulations in addition to demonstrating a strong commitment to the overall strategic direction & focus of the organization.
- As a part of the overall team of bank employees, you may be requested to assist in the support of other bank activities.

Requirements

- You have a 4-year degree in a related field AND
- You have 5 years of human resources experience
- You hold a human resources certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, etc.)
- You have advanced knowledge of employment laws & regulations & the ability to interpret & understand them.
- You have the ability to maintain confidential information & work with multiple levels of management & bank staff.
- You have skills needed in a typical office environment, including computer skills & utilization of office equipment
- You have knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- You have prior experience working with an HRIS and/or payroll software program.
- You have prior experience in the area of training & employee development.
- Some travel is necessary in this role, you must have a valid Driver's License & an insurable driving record
While performing the duties of this job, you are regularly required to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, attend meetings, etc. You have the ability to operate a computer, carry, handle & feel objects; reach with hands & arms; communicate effectively & efficiently in person & over the phone. You must occasionally lift &/or move up to 25 pounds or more with assistance. You have the ability to travel to other locations as needed. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception & the ability to adjust focus.
