What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Superintendent position at Proforma Construction, Inc.?
Active super to manage field conditions, inspections, work flow, schedules, RFIs, quality, budget. Most our work is in the East Bay, Tracy and Brentwood.
Must be a strong leader that can make decisions, act independently.
Requires a working knowledge of construction assemblies, type, and knows code in most if not all trades with a specialty knowledge in at least one like carpentry, steel or concrete. Renovations, ground up, re-purposement. OHSA 10 min, OHSA 30 preferred.
Experience can be educational or what life taught you in trade work to foreman, project engineering or management. Must have an appreciation of architecture, and strives to make things more efficient by being proficient.
In today’s world we use computers, field reports, scheduling software, budget controls and project management tools. You should have experience with these. Let us know what you know.
You need to be a natural leader with the confidence to lead a team of subcontractors, vendors, your fellow employees, and the customer. This means you can act and work independently and be a representative of a team.

It often occurs before you set foot on a project. We don’t do just one type of building product so you won’t get stuck repeating but able to use your experience and apply as appropriate.
