Job Summary
Profound Treatment is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Manager to oversee our residential detoxification center. The Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of individual programs, maintaining high standards of care, and achieving facility satisfaction goals. This role involves close collaboration with various departments, compliance monitoring, staff supervision, and performance management. The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent managerial skills, and a commitment to ethical standards. This position requires on-call availability for clinical emergencies and the ability to maintain relationships with external treatment agencies
Responsibilities
· Maintain evidence of current relevant continuing education beyond minimum requirements.
· Collaborate with the admissions department, operations manager, and clinical director to ensure smooth operation and high-quality care.
· Understand and strive to meet facility satisfaction goals.
· Ensure compliance with JCAHO and State of California standards.
· Regularly monitor and meet with supervised staff, providing feedback and training as needed.
· Conduct performance reviews for supervised staff.
· Review and complete timecards before payroll submission.
· Oversee counseling staff and managers.
· Facilitate weekly treatment planning meetings.
· Advise administration on program design and implementation.
· Supervise relationships with managed care and referral sources.
· Collaborate with administration on relations with referral sources and other treatment agencies.
· Ensure quality and timeliness of reports to courts and placement agencies.
· Provide clinical and organizational training for counselors.
· Oversee admission assessments, diagnoses, and preliminary treatment plans.
· Review client records for quality of documentation and planning.
· Review staff communication and shift logs for treatment implications.
· Provide quality assessment and improvement training for key personnel.
· Facilitate development and implementation of data collection and analysis systems for quality improvement.
· Maintain relationships with outside parties (sober living, IOPs, etc.).
· Develop systems to ensure efficient communication.
· Intervene clinically with clients as needed (crisis, ATA risks, therapy sessions).
· Be on-call 24 hours for clinical emergencies and consultation.
· Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.
Qualifications
· Above average clinical knowledge of inpatient treatment and mental health services.
· Proficiency in computer programs (Word, Excel, Outlook).
· Strong managerial and leadership skills.
· Consistent report and record-keeping abilities.
· Strong customer service skills.
· Ability to navigate EMR systems efficiently.
· Good crisis-intervention and conflict resolution skills.
· Detailed knowledge of AA/NA and the 12-Steps.
· Connections with local substance abuse programs (sober livings, IOPs, detoxes).
· Ability to screen for substance toxicity, intoxication, withdrawal symptoms, and co-occurring mental health issues.
· Adherence to ethical and behavioral standards of conduct.
Preferred Requirements
· 5 years of supervisory experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
· 3 years of experience with chemical dependency or dual-diagnosed patients.
· 4 years of 12-step experience.
· 5 years of sobriety if in recovery (preferred).
Education
· Highschool Diploma or equivalent (required)
· AA degree (preferred)
· Higher education certification or degree (preferred)
· SUD Counselor Certification or registration with CCAPP or CAADE. (required)
