General Overview: Responsible for directing and managing down hole commodities and logistics supply. Proactively ensures on-site inventory levels are continually maintained. Position requires continuous understanding of on-site operations and completion times with a focus on safety and accurate forecasting. Position involves supply management, accurate communications, delivery guidance and quality service assurance.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for exercising discretion and making independent judgments concerning down hole commodities and logistics purchasing activities.
- Compile and submit a series of inventory and forecasting reports on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis as specified by the Materials Manager.
- Responsible for providing accurate details of on-hand inventory, inventory in-transit and forecast with budgeted sales.
- Continually works with sales and operations to forecast demands.
- Must continually evaluate supplier/vendor performance and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Will assist Material Manager with procurement operations and other related projects as assigned.
- Disseminates company goals and objectives and ensures they are adhered to.
- Responsible for comparing vendor price variance on a quarterly basis.
- Represents company with highest level of professionalism.
- Provide updates for material status and open purchase orders.
- Coordinates scheduling for orders based in material lead times and arrival dates.
- Maintains integrity and accuracy of the physical inventory by location.
- Maintains records/spreadsheets for repairs and plan for future requirements based on orders, production schedules and forecasts.
- Works closely with supply chain Buyers & operations personnel to prepare, execute and follow material orders and deliveries.
- Helps to maintain inventory traceability and accuracy.
- Microsoft NAV experience will be a helpful.
- Conducts audit related activities including obtaining and analyzing data, reviewing records and supporting documentation, completing audit work papers, completing audit findings worksheets, and submitting audit findings for review, discussion, update, and approval.
- Ensures company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Other Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience required.
- Minimum of two (2) years’ experience with personnel and inventory management.
- Background in gas/oil field fracturing operations or pneumatic trucking preferred.
- Must be proficient with MS Office suite with an emphasis on Excel.
- Must be able to communicate effectively through oral and written skills.
- Essential identification skills, identifying and recognizing changes in circumstances, proactively develops alternative options.
- Knowledge of safety policies, procedures and regulations associated with bulk pneumatic trucks.
- Must be computer proficient.
- Knowledge of business and management principles including strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Proven communication and organizational skills to coordinate, communicate, and implement company goals.
- Sensitive to confidential information.
- Must work independently and as a member of team.
