Responsible for communicating with various outside resources and stakeholders to discover the areas of operational issues and generate projects that promote efficiency. This includes analysis, reporting, operations, and effective use of the operations information technology systems. The Senior Project Engineer, along with managing a team of project engineers, will align with company goals, expected business outcomes, and market projects based on priority an impact to the quality of service provided to FTSI customers. Value engineering process focused on improving the product and reducing costs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Monitor and report KPIs essential to key operational business functions.
- Manage project tracking for the Innovation Board; monitor compliance in all areas relevant to safety, customer expectations, and job requirements when testing or assessing new products and processes.
- Maintain quality control in every area of product and process development (budget, scheduling, planning, personnel performance, team dynamics).
- Manage engineering deliverables for company-level projects, analyze and report on cost analysis, and ensure all projects have clearly defined KPIs.
- Monitor and report KPIs essential to key operational business functions.
- Engage with stakeholders to improve operational processes and effective use of technology.
- Assist in research and resolution of barriers to technology and process adoption.
- Prepare and execute implementation plans of changes related to project findings.
- Perform other duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent work experience in Hydraulic Fracturing or Equipment Automation.
- 4 year of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience preferred.
- Project Management certifications or training a plus.
- Six-Sigma green belt or black belt desired, but not required.
- Knowledge of mathematical and scientific principles applicable to hydraulic fracturing and ability to make practical application of such knowledge in performance of duties.
- Knowledge of general business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills and knowledge of SAP workflow and inventory management.
- Knowledge of general principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
- Must be able to work independently and as a member of team.
- Sensitive to confidential information.
- Some field travel is required.
