Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Fiberglass Technician to join our team. As a Fiberglass Technician, you will be responsible for manufacturing, repairing, and maintaining fiberglass products in a variety of industries, including automotive, marine, construction, and manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have experience working with fiberglass materials, possess excellent craftsmanship, and have a strong understanding of safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and repair fiberglass components, including molds, and products.
• Gel coating, laying up fiberglass mats, and injecting resin in molds.
• Trimming and drilling fiberglass components
• Adhering and assembling fiberglass components
• Inspect finished fiberglass products for defects, making adjustments or repairs as needed.
• Operate and maintain specialized tools and equipment, including pneumatic sanders, grinders, drills, and spray guns.
• Follow specifications to complete assigned tasks.
• Ensure all fiberglass work is performed safely and in compliance with OSHA and company safety guidelines.
• Collaborate with other technicians, engineers, and supervisors to meet project goals and deadlines.
• Maintain an organized and clean workspace, including proper disposal of fiberglass waste and materials.
• Troubleshoot and repair damaged fiberglass components.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in fiberglass fabrication, repair, or similar trade.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to working with fiberglass and resins.
• Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
• Physical stamina to lift heavy materials and work in various environmental conditions.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automotive, marine, or structural fiberglass products.
• Knowledge of gel-coating, resin systems, and composite materials.
• Proficiency in operating CNC machinery for fiberglass part production.
• Experience in RTM and vacuum assisted fiberglass injection molding.
