JOB RESPONSIBILITIES-

Inpatient Hospital Coding Specialist

INPT HOSP CODING SPEC

Full-Time

All Inpatient Hospital Coding Specialist candidates will have the following job responsibilities:

  • As a Coding Integrity Specialist III WORK FROM HOME, you will review and evaluate hospital inpatient medical record documentation to assign, sequence, edit and/or validate the appropriate ICD-10-CM and ICD-10- PCS codes.
  • A CIS III performs coding and/or code/DRG validation across multiple entities by applying all appropriate coding guidelines and criteria for code selections.

All Inpatient Coding Specialist candidates must meet the following minimum job qualifications:

Role: Hospital Coding Specialist (Inpatient)

Shift: M-F 5x8's

Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40

Weekend Hours:, OT and weekends are usually optional but can be mandatory depending on business needs.

( All Positions are Hourly)

Licenses: NoneRequired Certifications: CCS, CPC, and/or CIC Coding credential required. (RHIT will not be accepted) (Excludes apprenticeship classification)

Experience Required: A minimum of 2-5 years of previous HOSPITAL inpatient coding experience is required. Experience in acute care facility inpatient and/or Trauma Level II coding preferred.

Additional Comments:Cannot hire in following states: CA, NY, CO, NJ, IL, HI

Systems Worked In: HB Coding � EPIC and 3M

Computer/Typing: Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word. Must have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.

Pay Range: $68-93k/year

(Depends on Experience)

We also provide a 401k with 4% match

Salary : $68,000 - $93,000
