Role : NC Programmer - NX
Location : Columbus, GA (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities :
1. NC Program Development :
Analyze part prints, manufacturing operation sheets, and NX part models to develop and modify Numerical Control (NC) programs for various 2, 3, 4, and 5- axis machine tools.
Utilize NX CAD / CAM graphical system and Turbosoft airfoil programming software for program development.
2. Technical Expertise :
Provide machining and development teams with expertise on potential machining challenges and their impact on surface properties.
3. Program Refinement :
Independently develop and refine NC programs, showcasing proficiency and initiative in program optimization.
4. Process Optimization :
Determine optimal feeds, speeds, and tool selection for a range of milling applications.
5. Collaboration and Optimization :
Collaborate with machine operators and Manufacturing Engineers to optimize machining processes and enhance machine tool capabilities.
Basic Qualifications :
- Associate degree with a minimum of 5 years & experience in engineering, manufacturing, technical, or related industrial fields.
- 5 or more years of experience in programming 2 - 5 axis machine tools using Unigraphics and Vericut CAD / CAM software systems.
- Proficiency in CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) languages, machining techniques, and machine tool capabilities for effective program design.
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles, including experience with Kaizen events or involvement in continuous improvement programs (ACE, 6S, etc.).
