Role: EDVT Engineer (Electrical Design Verification and Test)
Location: San Jose, CA - Onsite
Roles & Responsibilities:
· Participates on a project team of engineers involved in the specification, design, development, and test of hardware. Defines the unit and system level test processes and procedures.
· Performs complex system level unit and integration test. Debug/Mitigate complex system level problems.
· Leverage automation to implement test strategy & improve productivity.
· Provide detailed issue mitigation & drive issues to closure.
· Document test plans, procedures, & test reports.
· Help root cause field issues & support customer escalation.
Minimum Qualifications:
· BSEE/CE with relevant experience
· Hands on experience with electrical test & measurement equipment.
· TCL/Python or similar Scripting experience is a plus.
· Understanding of Fiber Optics and Ethernet Cable plant infrastructure.
· Excellent hardware debugging skills and script development/debug skills.
· Debug complex issues at system level & component level including CPU, ASICs, FPGAs, Power supplies, etc.
· Ability to widely apply networking principles, theories, and field concepts to product tests.
· Ability to draw parallels between hardware architecture and OSI networking fundamentals.
· Excellent hardware debugging skills and script development/debug skills.
