About the role : PMAT seeks a dynamic and accomplished Business Development & Capture Management Director with a strong track record of leading and driving strategic growth within the Department of Defense (DoD) and / or Intelligence Community (IC) sector. The selected candidate will spearhead long-term strategic initiatives and plans to meet and exceed organizational growth objectives, focusing on engaging current key customers and expanding to new customers within the DoD. This position demands an in-depth understanding of defense budgeting and allocation, acquisition strategies, influential stakeholders, emerging technology trends, and spending forecasts to identify, qualify, and successfully capture high-value opportunities. It will be essential for the candidate to quickly understand PMAT's product services to create and capitalize on emerging opportunities. The ideal candidate will cultivate and strengthen essential relationships in shaping PMAT's long-term success and expansion.
Responsibilities :
- Identify and outline long-term strategic business development initiatives for DoD customers. These initiatives should align with PMAT's portfolio and growth objectives.
- Architect comprehensive plans and execute identified long-term strategic business development initiatives in collaboration with PMAT leadership.
- Perform detailed opportunity assessments, including competitive analysis and business case development, that ensure alignment with customer needs and PMAT's capabilities.
- Prepare and present recommendations for qualification, pursuit, business intelligence, and bid decisions to PMAT's executive leadership.
- Act as PMAT's primary representative to assigned customers, building relationships with decision-makers and influencers through direct engagement and participation in relevant industry events.
- Proactively identify and collaborate with prospective customers and teammates. Regularly schedule new briefing opportunities and other interactions with prospective new customers outside of PMAT's current customer portfolio.
- Collaborate with PMAT's subject matter experts to develop and deliver white papers, presentations, and RFI responses, enhancing the company's visibility and positioning with customers and on key opportunities.
- Support PMAT's strategic planning process by providing actionable market insights, customer mission analysis, and recommendations on competitive positioning and strategic investments to drive growth.
- Deliver comprehensive presentations of market analyses and opportunity assessments to the PMAT CEO and executive leadership team.
- Develop PMAT's elevator pitch and clear and comprehensive briefing materials for current and future stakeholders.

Education and Certification Requirements : Bachelor's degree in a related field with 10 years of progressively relevant experience, master's degree with 8 years of relevant experience, or a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 14 years of advancing relevant experience.
Citizenship and Clearance requirement : US Citizenship required. Active Secret clearance is required.
Location : Preferably in the vicinity of San Diego, Denver, Norfolk, or the greater Washington DC Metro Area
Travel : As required per client requirements, up to 65-70%
Work Environment : PMAT offices as needed. Remote work is also acceptable, depending on location and access to a PMAT office. In some cases, visitation to government facilities will be required. Travel will be necessary for customer engagement, team coordination, and potentially for business development.
Compensation : Commensurate to experience $150,000.00 - $200,000.00
