About the role : PMAT is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer with operational experience and expertise serving on Joint and coalition staffs, particularly within the Pacific Rim region, to support Project Overmatch in San Diego, CA. The candidate will act as a key liaison with coalition partners, focusing on the integration of Joint communication systems to enhance interoperability and mission effectiveness. A strong background in communication systems, including Link 16, Link 22, and Joint satellite communication systems, is essential for this role, as well as the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse international partners in advancing secure and resilient communication capabilities.
Responsibilities :
- Coalition Communication coordination and advisory :
Serve as a primary liaison to communicate Project Overmatch for coalition communications.
Understand the systems engineering processes for Project Overmatch.
Support technical exchanges to achieve seamless integration and interoperability across naval and Joint platforms.
Apply operational experience to inform system design and ensure alignment with real-world naval operations.
Navigate and support DoD acquisition processes, including documentation, milestones, and risk assessments.
Leverage in-depth knowledge of naval systems, including combat management systems, sensor systems, and weapon systems.
Collaborate with program offices, international partners, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Education and Certification Requirements : Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
Citizenship and Clearance requirement : Must possess Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS / SCI) clearance.

Work Environment : This position supports Project Overmatch, requiring occasional travel to government facilities and field locations, as well as international travel. Some tasks may involve working in secure environments.
