Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. Caregivers will be responsible for delivering personalized care while ensuring safety and comfort for those with varying needs, including individuals with disabilities and dementia.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Monitor patient health and report any changes or concerns to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
- Implement care plans tailored to individual client needs, ensuring compliance with prescribed routines.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
- Assist with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary to ensure client safety.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients.
- Engage clients in social activities and encourage participation in recreational programs.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a caregiving role, particularly in group homes or nursing homes, is preferred.
- Familiarity with meal preparation and dietary restrictions is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or dementia care is highly desirable.
- Ability to perform patient monitoring effectively and recognize changes in health status.
- Certification in CPR or willingness to obtain certification is required.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential for building rapport with clients.
- Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist clients with mobility as needed.
