Under the supervision of the Napa-Sonoma Clinical Director the Program Director is responsible for operations of the supported housing(PLACES) for emancipating foster youth aged 18-24, remaining available beyond regular business hours as required. The Program Director is the clinical and administrative leader of the program, which provides case management, support services and housing opportunities to emancipating foster youth in Napa County. Additionally, the position includes supervision of the Supported Living Program, providing case management and support services to adults living in scattered site housing in Napa County.
Duties include, but are not limited to: Promote the philosophy of social rehabilitation as it applies to residential treatment and independent living programs; locate and secure housing units with landlords; negotiate lease agreements with landlords; supervise and evaluate all program staff; initiate recruitment, hiring, training and termination processes for all Program positions; ensure that the program staff develops and maintains good working relationships with all client referral sources; maintain and participate in an on-call system that ensures that Program leadership is available to staff and clients at all times; supervise and monitor all charts and client records; provide direct service to clients of the program; supervise data collection and reporting; and manage Program budget.
Qualifications
Masters Degree in a mental health related field required. Professional license or registered LCSW-MFT intern in a mental health discipline preferred. At least three years' experience in a community mental health program, including supervisory experience. MHRS Certification, plus 6yrs experience may be substituted for degree requirements. Some understanding of California landlord/tenant law preferred. Some experience in creating housing opportunities preferred. General case management skills, plus good clinical judgment specific to treatment planning, crisis assessment/intervention and milieu therapy are expected. Specific experience in residential treatment and/or knowledge of social rehabilitation is preferred. Must be able to negotiate several flights of stairs during each work shift. Must maintain a valid California driver’s license, must have own transportation and must be insurable under the agency's current auto insurance policies. Demonstrate knowledge of current charting/reimbursement methods (Medi-cal & HIPPA). Ability to provide clinical supervision per California Board of Behavioral Sciences requirements preferred.
