OVERNIGHT SHIFTS NEEDED!
Do you like helping others? Are you interested in psychology or other humanities? Are you seeking flexible employment that allows you to choose shifts that fit your schedule? Progress Foundation Relief Counselors receive training in the community mental health field without the prerequisite of extensive education.
Relief Counselors provide support in our residential treatment programs located in the cities of Marin, Napa, Santa Rosa, and San Francisco. Progress Foundation programs provide residential behavioral health treatment for adults in a home-like environment, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Relief Counselors have direct contact with clients and consistently advocate for and respond to clients’ treatment and rehabilitation needs.
Job responsibilities include:
- 1:1 and group counseling
- Monitoring medication
- Clinical documentation
- Running the household
- Supporting counselor teams
Candidates must be available for flexible scheduling, including some weekend and alert/awake overnight shifts.
- Premium pay may be available for shifts taken on short notice.
- Paid staff training is provided as part of our extensive onboarding process and on an ongoing, annual basis.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience in residential treatment and/or knowledge of social rehabilitation is preferred, but not required. Must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, Must demonstrate an acceptable level of maturity, good judgment and emotional stability.
Before commencement of employment, must submit to a fingerprint check and health screening exam in order to obtain clearance from the State Dept. of Social Services, Community Care Licensing. Employment is contingent upon meeting the above minimum qualifications.
