What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Manager for Intellectual Disabilities position at Progress Incorporated?
Progress Inc. is a nonprofit provider agency that has been serving adults with intellectual disabilities and seniors in Davidson and surrounding counties since 1971.
We provide day, residential and employment supports for this population through ECF, CHOICES and DDA funded programs. We are expanding our presence in Sumner County in order to except new referrals for people needing services in this underserved area.
We are looking for a Program Manager to assist with start-up, capacity building, referral acceptance and relationship building in the area. Once up and running, this Program Manager would be responsible for managing a caseload of individuals needing services and their corresponding staff.
Primary Duties:
- Communicate with families, potential new clients and MCO case managers
- Establish relationships in Sumner county that promote Progress success expanding into the area
- Staff and schedule caseload of Direct Support Professionals
- Interview and hire staff as needed to maintain needed coverage
- Ensure the needs of the individuals Progress serves are being met
- Submitting reports and documentation as required
- Conducting house visits to ensure quality supports
- Staff training
Requirements:
- Must have proficient computer skills: Excel, Word, Outlook. (Assessment may be required)
- Bachelors degree strongly preferred or comparable relevant experience
- Must have management experience in the DD / ID field
- Good personal communication skills are a must. Written and Oral
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must not be listed on any registries reporting any form or abuse or fraud
- Must be able to complete any pre-service training required
- Must have a valid DL, reliable vehicle and valid insurance
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
