Overview
Progress Partners is seeking to hire a Boston based Investment Banking Analyst to help support its M&A transactions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, has experience with financial statements, financial modeling, and strong communication skills. Prior experience in executing M&A and Equity Capital Markets transactions in Technology verticals is highly preferred.
Analysts at Progress are given meaningful hands-on experience and deal responsibility. Responsibilities:
- Prepare and assist in the preparation of proposals, client presentations, and transaction materials
- Conduct company and industry research, and develop expert industry knowledge
- Develop marketing materials, complex financial analyses and models, and ensure data integrity and accuracy of all deliverables
- Monitor campaigns, coordinate meetings, and prepare and actively participate in weekly updates
- Engage in due diligence processes, including data room management and coordination between all stakeholders (internal and external)
- Establish and maintain the respect and trust of clients
- Recruit, supervise, and develop interns
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate development, or other similar experience
- Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record required; finance/accounting, business, economics majors preferred
- Knowledge of M&A and capital raising practices is essential
- Solid finance/accounting knowledge; ability to analyze and value businesses
- Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills
- Team player mentality combined with the ability to work independently
- Excellent analytical, creative, and strategic thinking skills
- Strict attention to detail and advanced note taking abilities
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize deliverables
- Advanced Microsoft Office suite skills; Expert in Excel and PowerPoint
- Prior experience with accounting, financial or market data, databases, or analysis tools
