Key Job Elements
- Review and apply inventory activities, including movements and deletions;
- Maintain and update inventory records;
- Develop and implement efficient inventory management procedures;
- Route material handlers daily work;
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies;
- Prepare documents such as work orders, bills of lading or shipping orders;
- Provide information to supervisors, co-workers and subordinates;
- Analyze shipping information to make routing decisions;
- Package objects for shipping;
- Use logic and reasoning to identify problems and alternative solutions;
- Report stock issues to management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent;
- Previous inventory experience preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of administrative and office procedures;
- Knowledge of production processes, quality control and distribution of goods;
- Advanced Windows Operating System experience;
- Proficient in Microsoft Office;
- Proficient mathematical and analytical skills;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to work extended hours, including weekends and nights as needed.
- Strength – Position typically involves work in an industrial environment. Frequent standing, sitting, and walking. Work level ranges from light to occasional very heavy-level lifting (50 pounds);
- Motion – Position regularly requires standard motions associated with leading and demonstrating in an industrial environment. Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, and handling;
- Vision/Hearing Requirements – Constant verbal communications, including both talking and hearing;
- Work Environment – Position is Safety Sensitive and will require the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Position may involve work in a non-temperature-controlled environment. Position is located in an industrial environment, including frequent potential for noise (85 decibels), exposure to extreme temperatures, exposure to hazardous materials, heavy equipment, atmospheric exposure, and other hazardous working conditions;
- Emotional Demands – High level of responsibility. Responsible for supervision of the maintenance mission. Requires significant interpersonal skills while sustaining very high standards;
- Safety – Position is Safety sensitive and will require the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
