What are the responsibilities and job description for the Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic position at Progress Rail Services?
Job Purpose
Currently hiring for the weekend shift that works Friday - Sunday, 6am - 6pm or 3rd Shift that works M-Th 8pm-6am. Full benefits are available.
These positions will work on the engine line in one of the following areas : teardown, components, wash, magnaflux / dimension, camshaft / stacks, hole repair, sub assembly, initial assembly, final assembly, dyno (test), retorque, or engine prep.

Education / Training
- High School Education or GED;
- Certified / Licensed Mechanics OR Diesel, Automobile, Aircraft Heavy Equipment, Farm Equipment.
