Job Purpose
Looking to add electricians to our weekend shift which works Friday, Saturday & Sunday, 6am - 6pm.
As a locomotive electrician, your responsibilities are to install, maintain, and repair critical electrical systems on a locomotive and locomotive components.

Key Job Elements
- Installs and maintains electrical wiring and equipment, such as motors, generators, air-conditioning units, electrical outlets, and lighting fixtures of railroad locomotives;
- Measures, cuts, threads, bends, assembles, and installs conduits that connect to control panels and junction boxes, using hacksaw, pipe benders, pipe-threading tools, and other handtools;
- Splices wires and solders connections to fixtures, outlets, and equipment;
- Tests circuit connections, using electrical test equipment;
- Read precision instruments, micrometers, and gauges;
- Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot and repair EMD control systems;
- Reads locomotive blueprints & schematics to make needed repairs;
- Repairs electrical equipment, such as panel lighting, circuit breakers, junction boxes, voltage regulators, and reverse current relays;
- Complete and document jobs in a timely manner per requirements / work instructions.
