• Bachelors in Human Resources or Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience;
• Professional certification in Human Resources preferred.Job Title : Human Resource SpecialistCity : LaGrangeKey Job Elements :
• Build and maintain employee records in accordance with corporate standards;
• Assist employees with questions;
• Ensure compliance with local and corporate HR polices and procedures;
• Timely submission of forms and documents to corporate HR;
• Maintain LaGrange communication display monitors
• Interface with immigration attorney, management and employees who are being sponsored for employment visas and permanent residency; provide employment letters;
• Coordinate candidate interview, new hire orientation, and on-boarding;
• Submit relocation authorizations to Cartus
• Respond to unemployment claims;
• Provide back-up timekeeping support;
• Special projects and event planning.Qualifications and Experience :
• Coursework in Human Resources;
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and independently;
• Ability to create content and present information to a large group;
• Proven written and verbal communication skills;
• Proficient with MS Office Products to include Outlook, Word and Excel;
• Attention to detail;
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing priorities.Essential and Physical Activities Functions
• Strength – Position typically involves work in a standard office environment. Occasional standing and walking. Heavy lifting is rare but may be required;
• Motion – Position regularly requires standard repetitive motions and hand / eye coordination associated with office communications. May require bending, lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, crouching, walking, etc. in cases where Safety investigations require them;
• Vision / Hearing Requirements – Constant verbal communications, including both talking and hearing;
• Work Environment – Position may involve occasional work in a non-temperature-controlled facility. Position will require occasional visits to industrial environment, including potential for noise (85 decibels), frequent exposure to cold and temperature changes, exposure to hazardous materials, heavy equipment, high levels of dust, and other hazardous working conditions. May be required to remain for long periods of time in hazardous work environments to investigate and mitigate accidents / incidents;
• Emotional Demands – Responsible for audits and reporting. Requires interpersonal skills and communication;
