To understand what skills, including relevant soft skills and software package proficiencies, are required for this position.
- Disassemble, wash, inspect, repair, and assemble bearings and components.
Key Job Elements:
- Works with new and used railroad bearings.
- Duties encompass inspecting parts and assembly line type duties to recondition freight car bearings.
- Operates overhead cranes and forklifts.
Requirements:
- High School education or GED required.
- Prefer 3-6 months experience as a machine operator. Equivalent school/training will be considered.
- Must be able to perform quality inspections.
- Capable use of hand tools.
- Work around overhead cranes and mobile equipment.
- Work as an effective team member.
