Under the supervision of an Engineering Manager, the Designer performs a variety of design / drafting activities for the Engineering group including preparing / updating drawings for projects, preparing assembly / manufacturing drawings, and creating such drawings in both 2D and 3D formats. They are responsible for designing products using computer-aided design software applications such as AutoCAD, Pro / ENGINEER, Inventor and SolidWorks.

Key Job Elements
- Use software to create detailed 2D or 3D designs for complex projects;
- Using AutoCad software to design and create new drawings and maintain existing drawings;
- Using Excel to create Engineering Change Notices and perform calculations;
- Using Autodesk Inventor to create and maintain 3D models;
- Using LN MRP system to create and maintain Bills of Material;
- Collaborate with others to establish timelines and budgets, as well as solve problems;
- Knowledge of industry, engineering, math, and materials;
- Ability to analyze data and situation and come up with creative solutions;
- Working with external customers and internal management to meet deadlines and customer’s specifications;
- Communicating with all levels of personnel in the plant, including spending time on the production floor to learn the products and the operation;
- Report to plant Design Engineering Supervisor.
