Equipment Refurbishment Technician
We are seeking an experienced Equipment Refurbishment Technician to join our team at Progress Rail. As a key member of our operations, you will be responsible for preparing and painting locomotives and locomotive components.
Responsibilities:
- Inspect and repair damaged or worn-out parts;
- Clean and prepare surfaces for painting;
- Apply paint and coatings using various methods;
- Install decals and other finishes;
- Perform routine maintenance tasks.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent;
- At least 4 years of experience in equipment refurbishment or a related field;
- Possession of a valid respirator certification;
- Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces;
- Familiarity with overhead cranes and mobile equipment.
