Student Intern - Engineering
We are seeking a student intern to join our team and gain practical work experience in an academic field of study. This position is typically a temporary assignment, utilized during the student's vacation period.
- Complete assignments within a department or activity that utilizes the employee's academic discipline;
- Assist in improving the remanufacturing process;
- Develop and present project analyses;
- Maintain reports for management review;
- Apply statistics to problem solving;
- Work cooperatively and efficiently with other personnel;
- Work with product design engineers to develop and implement reliability-based verification artifacts;
- Adaptability and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment.
The ideal candidate will have completed their sophomore year in an engineering degree program, possess strong interpersonal skills, and have a solid understanding of problem-solving and root cause analysis.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a manufacturing environment, travel as required, and contribute to a global network of business operations.
Requirements:
- Enrolled in a BS Engineering program;
- Completed Sophomore year in Engineering degree program;
- Strong interpersonal skills, including working in a cross-functional team environment;
- Understanding of problem-solving, root cause analysis, and experience with segregating reliability failures from manufacturing defects and misdiagnosis;
- Microsoft Office skills required.
Physical Demands:
- Strength: Lifting up to 50lbs;
- Motion: Standing for extended periods, frequent walking, squatting, kneeling, and climbing stairs;
- Vision/Hearing Requirements: Exposed to high levels of noise and vibration from using tools;
- Work Environment: Indoor or outdoor locations, subject to temperature extremes and weather conditions;
- Emotional Demands: Ability to work as part of a team, meet production requirements, and adhere to safety policies;
- Safety: Safety-sensitive position, requiring strict adherence to safety policies and use of PPE.
