Progress Rail Services Corporation, a Caterpillar Company and a leading provider of services to the Railroad industry in the US, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil, is seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team as a key member of our engineering team.
As a DevOps Engineer, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in automating, optimizing and streamlining our development and operational processes. This position will be responsible for building and maintaining build, CI / CD pipelines, configuration management, and enhancing the software delivery lifecycle.

Key Job Elements
- Design, implement, and maintain continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI / CD) pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable software delivery;
- Ensure that builds are repeatable and consistent across different products and environments;
- Automate build, test, and deployment process for applications and services;
- Deploy and manage virtual, physical servers, and cloud-native infrastructure;
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or Ansible;
- Work closely with engineering and project teams to integrate DevOps practices into software lifecycle;
- Respond to incidents, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime;
- Conduce root cause analysis and implement preventative measures;
- Evaluate, implement, and manage DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Prometheus, and Grafana;
- Implement security best practices in build, CI / CD pipelines, infrastructure, and solutions deployments.
