Key Job Elements
- System Design & Integration :
- o Develop end-to-end architectures for telematics software systems, ensuring compatibility with railroad industry standards;
- o Lead integration efforts across hardware, software, and network systems;
- o Work with Product Managers to interview stakeholders, including corporate customers, ensuring that stakeholder needs are clearly defined and understood;
- o Work with Product Owners, System Architects and Test Engineers to define functional and non-functional requirements for the Uptime product;
- Development & Deployment :
- o Collaborate with software engineering teams to establish and ensure systems meet performance and scalability requirements;
- o Work with DevOps engineers to define deployment pipelines, emphasizing security, reliability, and minimal downtime;
- Testing & Validation :
- o Work directly with test engineers to establish and execute automated and manual test cases to validate system functionality under real-world conditions;
- o Provide guidance for automated testing for continuous integration and delivery (CI / CD) pipelines;
- Monitoring & Optimization :
- o Develop monitoring tools and dashboards for tracking system performance and reliability;
- o Identify bottlenecks and recommend optimizations to improve system uptime and data throughput;
- Compliance & Documentation :
- o Ensure systems comply with relevant regulatory requirements, especially security standards such as ISO 27001;
o Maintain thorough documentation, including system designs, test plans, and operational procedures.
Education / Training
Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field.
