Job Summary

Progress Residential is seeking a Summer Intern to assist our Leasing Department in enhancing the customer journey from the first point of contact to lease signing. This intern will play a crucial role in supporting the leasing team by automating and streamlining customer communications, ensuring a seamless and efficient leasing process. In addition, the intern will assist with the AI Leasing Assistant

Essential Functions

  • the leasing team in identifying and improving touchpoints in the leasing journey, from initial inquiry to lease signing. Help map the customer journey and ensure timely communication at each stage.
  • Work with the leasing team to develop and implement automation tools for follow-up emails, appointment reminders, lease signing, and other customer communications, ensuring consistency and efficiency.
  • Assist in the integration and optimization of AI tools within the leasing process. This includes helping with AI-driven responses to customer inquiries, lead qualification, and follow-ups, ensuring e technology enhances the leasing process and frees up time for leasing agents to focus on high-value interactions.
  • Assist in managing and responding to leads through various communication channels (email, phone, online chat). Ensure that all inquiries are responded to promptly and professionally, and support AI systems in lead management and follow-up.
  • Help with the collection and organization of necessary documentation from potential tenants, including application forms, IDs, and proof of income.
  • Assist in tracking key performance metrics such as lead response times, conversion rates, and overall leasing performance. Provide data analysis to help optimize leasing strategies and AI performance.
  • Help answer resident inquiries, escalate issues as needed, and assist in maintaining a positive resident experience throughout the leasing process.
  • Work closely with the marketing, operations, and customer service teams to ensure the leasing process is cohesive and aligned with company goals. Assist in integrating AI insights and automation across departments.
  • Assist the National Leasing Manager and Regional Leasing Directors with any special projects or initiatives designed to improve the leasing process, customer experience, or AI tool effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, Marketing, Communications, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in real estate, leasing, AI technology, or property management.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience with CRM software or property management systems (e.g., Yardi, Salesforce) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with AI tools or chatbots is highly desirable.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and eager to learn.
