As a Medical Biller you will be joining in this wonderful company to help others in the community!

The Medical Biller will be handling all medical billing, coding, invoicing, collections, in addition to maintaining and updating the company’s EMR client data.

Responsibilities

• Preparing, reviewing, and transmitting claims using billing software, including electronic and paper claim processing
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe
• Appeal payer denials due to Medical necessity, timely filing, office & insurance errors
• Identify underpaid procedures & prepare all supporting documentation for appeals
• Checking each insurance payment for accuracy and compliance with contract discount
• Calling insurance companies regarding any discrepancy in payments if necessary
• Identifying and billing secondary or tertiary insurances
• Reviewing accounts for insurance of patient follow-up
• Answering all patient or insurance telephone inquiries pertaining to assigned accounts
• Follow up patient account balance and mail statements
• Post and apply insurance and patient payments and balance bill patients
• Setting up patient payment plans and work collection accounts
• Prepare all the required Medical records, proof of timely filing and authorizations as needed
• Run A/R reports to follow up on outstanding patient insurance balance & unpaid ins. claims

Qualifications and Skills

A minimum of 2 years’ experience with ICD10, central reach, medical billing and coding, is required along with well-balanced skills. Candidate must have good communication skills.

• EMR System – Central Reach, is preferred
• Ability to speak Spanish and/or Korean, is preferred
• CPT, ICD-10, Modifiers knowledge
• At least 2 years of medical billing experience.
• AP/AR R experience
• Data Entry
• Efficient and attention to detail

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
