Job Summary
The Job Coach is responsible for a caseload of approximately 25-30 job candidates with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities needing assistance with finding and maintaining a job. The Job Coach will assist each job candidate with identifying work that they are interested in pursuing and then conduct job searches to secure the ideal employment opportunity. Through this process the Job coach will contact local businesses to assist the job candidate in securing employment. Upon securing employment, the Job Coach will assist the candidate with learning the task and responsibility of their new position and supporting them in developing the skills necessary to maintain their job.
Requirements:
Within 30 days of hire must complete 9.5 hours of Job Coach/Developer hours through College of Direct Supports.
Within 30 days or when available complete Job Coaching and Job Developer certification through Iowa APSE.
