Malvern Treatment Centers is currently seeking a full time Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). The LMFT is a full time, benefit eligible position and is responsible for providing clinical support at our Malvern Treatment Centers located in South Philadelphia, PA.
Position Summary:
The Licensed Family Therapist (LMFT) is a full participant of a multidisciplinary team, inclusive of providing high quality, trauma-informed, direct care and clinical supervision of student interns at Malvern Treatment Centers.
Summary of Essential Position Functions:

Promotes the safety, health, and well-being of all individuals served, family members/loved ones, and the Malvern treatment team.

Works closely with Director of Family Services to identify and develop family programming, engagement, and quality treatment opportunities across all MTC treatment locations.

Provides direct clinical supervision for MFT student interns and/or licensure candidates through a systems lens.

Delivers highly quality, trauma-informed services inclusive of individual, group, and family therapy.

Assists the treatment team by recommending and implementing family specific treatment interventions.

Provides high quality case consultation through a trauma-informed and culturally competent, family systems lens.

Provides family education and program coordination in partnership with the Recovery Orientated Community (ROC) initiatives and Family Orientation.

Provides crisis intervention, and the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu in conjunction with individual treatment plan objectives.

Monitors the clinical progress and documentation of student interns.

Provides on-going feedback to meet individual learning objectives in accordance with university specific learning objectives and guidelines.

Provides flexibility and telehealth family therapy to meet the needs of individuals and their loved ones.

Provides support through individual interactions and group settings such as community meetings, lectures, and other activities.

Assists with family visits.

Documents significant interactions and clinical sessions, as appropriate, in the electronic medical record.

Assists the human resources function by participating/initiating disciplinary actions regarding performance of student interns.

Secures protected health information and maintains confidentiality by completing and safeguarding medical records; maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.

Assists with fire safety, infection control and isolation procedures, as appropriate.

Responds to and directs emergency situations when necessary.

Attends and participates in all required meetings.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises Master level student interns and/or licensure candidates as needed.

Qualifications:
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to areas providing specialized education and care to varied populations including chemically dependent/dually diagnosed individuals, family, and community members.

Education and/or Experience:
A Master’s Degree or above from an accredited college with a major in family therapy, psychology, social work, counseling, nursing (with a clinical specialty in family therapy) and/or other related field which includes a practicum in a health or human service agency, preferably in a co-occurring setting providing family therapy.

Licensure/Certification: A valid Pennsylvania License in Marriage and Family Therapy. Required.
