Progressive Companies is seeking an experienced Architect to join our team, with positions available in Charlotte, NC, Grand Rapids, MI, or Detroit, MI. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming design concepts into functional, high-quality solutions across a variety of project types. You will develop and manage design concepts through all phases, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and adhere to established design principles.

Deliver Results

  • Ensure design intent is reflected accurately in detailed documentation throughout all project phases.
  • Contribute to the design process from concept through construction, ensuring consistent execution of design vision.
  • Collaborate with Senior Architects to identify necessary documentation and manage production strategies.
  • Provide technical support, including compliance with building codes, system integration, and addressing constructability issues.
  • Coordinate construction documents with various disciplines and external consultants.
  • Assist in quality assurance / quality control (QA / QC) measures, including document modifications, submittal reviews, and addressing requests for information (RFIs).
  • Mentor and guide less experienced staff, including Architectural Interns and Architects I, on technical and design aspects.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or equivalent (required for professional licensure)
  • Licensed Architect with a current license
  • Minimum of 5 years of licensed architectural experience, with in-depth knowledge of building systems, codes, and construction methods.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with experience in Microsoft Office.
