Progressive Automations is looking for aSupply Chain Manager to join our Richmond team.

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end supply chain processes and ensuring that all products meet established quality standards. This role focuses on optimizing supply chain efficiency, managing local and international vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Procurement and Sourcing:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to ensure cost-effective and timely acquisition of materials.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and reliable partnerships.

Warehouse Management:

  • Oversee warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, and order fulfillment processes.
  • Implement Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) to improve efficiency, accuracy, and space utilization.
  • Ensure optimal layout and organization of warehouse space to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Develop and enforce safety protocols to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

Inventory Management:

  • Oversee inventory levels to optimize stock availability while minimizing holding costs.
  • Implement demand forecasting models to align with market needs.

Logistics and Distribution:

  • Manage end-to-end logistics to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products to customers.
  • Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
  • Work closely with multiple carriers, negotiating contracts and securing competitive shipping rates.
  • Analyze shipping performance, costs, and carrier efficiency to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee domestic and international shipping, including freight consolidation, customs compliance, and documentation.
  • Address and resolve delivery issues, ensuring minimal disruption to the supply chain.

Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Foster strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure long-term collaboration.

Key Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • Bachelors degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
    • Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt would be a benefit
  • Experience:
    • Proven experience in supply chain management
    • Strong with ERP systems & supply chain software, TMS, WMS
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
    • Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements.
    • Ability to travel internationally
