Retail Travel Team Associate (Monroe/West Monroe Market)

Retail Travel Team Associate’s primary responsibility is to provide prompt, efficient, and friendly service while performing frontline duties and providing branch support. This position must possess extensive knowledge of the functions/duties of a Universal Banker as well as the computer systems, government regulations, policies, and procedures associated with this position. Additionally, the Retail Travel Team Associate will assist in training and mentoring new retail employees as needed.

Position Requirements:

• High school education or equivalent
• Must have ability to perform all paying and receiving functions (1 or more years of teller experience preferred.)
• Must display leadership skills, effective communication skills and demonstrate excellent customer service at all times.

Duties:

• Performs the duties of a Universal Banker.
• Substitutes for other Retail personnel as necessary.
• Provides training for Retail Bankers on an as-needed basis. Monitors Retail to ensure compliance with financial institution’s procedures and policies.
• Assists bankers in locating balancing discrepancies.
• Always keeps cash and computer system secure and maintains a high level of safety for the customer and the bank while always keeping bank and customer records confidential
• Ensures work station is properly stocked and ready for subsequent shifts .
• Has a full understanding of bank deposit products and services.
• Prepares work to be processed by encoding appropriate items, batching cashed items, and placing all work together.
• Completes Branch Capture process as necessary. Make sure runs are completed on time.
• Answers customer questions when necessary, recognizing any opportunity to promote other bank products and services.
• Prepares work schedules as necessary
• Orders needed money for the vault and ships excess money from the vault as necessary.
• Assists with audits and general branch operations as necessary.
• Keeps accurate records in accordance with established standards.
• Works closely with S.V.P. Director of Retail Banking to prepare his/her work schedule based on each branch’s needs.
• Assists whenever possible in eliminating and or reducing overtime.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED:

• Works under direct supervision of Director of Retail Banking
