What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Treatment Professional position at Progressive Care Services, Inc.?
We are seeking a Day Treatment Professional to join our team! You will work with youth in groups providing intervention and teaching skills via activities, role plays and modeling. Services may take place in the office, community or school settings.
The Day Treatment Counselor work directly with youth and when available families in the Day Treatment Program. The Day Treatment Counselor provides supervised therapeutic services to youth and families with behavioral and emotional difficulties for the purpose of meeting the goals of each youth’s Treatment Plan.
Incorporated Duties
· Knowledge of the organization, policies and procedures, structure and operations.
· Ability to communicate well with others both orally and in writing, using both technical and nontechnical language.
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
· Ability to prepare accurate and reliable reports.
· Ability to operate a personal computer using standard word processing as needed.
· Ability to use logical and creative thought processes to develop solutions according to written specifications and/or oral instructions.
· Ability to be flexible and adapt to organizational changes and needs.
· Ability to work independently.
· Ability to collaborate and to work as part of a team. Possession of a valid driver’s license and minimal insurance required by law.
· CPR, First Aid Certification, and MANDT training
Key Responsibilities:
· Builds a positive relationship with students based on trust, caring, unconditional regard, and individual strengths and needs.
· Provides daily counseling to each student.
· Provides therapeutic intervention on an ongoing basis.
· Keeps progress notes on individual student contacts.
· Provides crisis intervention and therapeutic de-escalation.
· Provides group or classroom counseling.
Salary : $18 - $25
