We are seeking a skilled and experienced Nozzleman to join our gunite or shotcrete crew in Austin, TX. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 prior years of experience specifically working the nozzle on a gunite or shotcrete crew. As a Nozzleman, you will play a crucial role in applying concrete through a high-velocity hose, ensuring precision and quality in our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Operate the nozzle to spray a mixture of dry sand and cement transported at high velocity through a 2-inch hose.
- Collaborate closely with the crew to ensure the efficient and effective application of concrete.
- Maintain a keen eye for detail to ensure the quality and precision of concrete application.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and the crew.
- Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
- Assist the needs of the crew as required, including but not limited to material handling, equipment setup, and cleanup.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience working as a Nozzleman on a gunite or shotcrete crew.
- Must be a certified Nozzleman.
- Must reside or be willing to relocate to Austin, TX
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining equipment used in concrete applications.
- Strong understanding of concrete mixing ratios and application techniques.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, communicating clearly and professionally with crew members.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Physical ability to lift heavy materials and withstand the demands of the job.
- Willingness to adhere strictly to safety regulations and protocols.
- Flexibility to work in various weather conditions and environments.
