As a Senior Municipal Engineer, you will lead design and development of documents for a range of complex projects. You will work with client managers, act as a project manager for civil engineering projects, and mentor other engineers to complete plan design and production for civil engineering design projects, including preparation of design documents and permits for site plans, utility plans and profiles, road design, traffic signal plans, grading plans and right-of-way plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
Deliver Results
Establish project delivery teams, coordinating in-house and consultant services. Create and edit contract for consultant services.
Review designs and complete field investigation to diagnose problems.
Assist with engineering service proposals including estimates of time required to complete a project.
Develop reports and preliminary concepts and full design phase deliverables including drawings, specifications, cost estimates, quantity take-offs, technical reports, narratives, and permit applications.
Attend public meetings when required. Consult with regulatory agencies when necessary.
Use design software/technology, including Revit, AutoCAD 3D, HEC RAS, EPANET, MicroStation and other emerging technologies for presentation and production purposes.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program or equivalent in education and experience required for professional licensure.
Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a wide variety of project types.
Strong knowledge of AutoCAD 3D.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Valid driver’s license and good driving record, with no driving or other infractions that would preclude insurability.
Preferred Qualifications
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) with current license highly preferred.
NCEES registration and NSPE membership.
CSI-CDT, LEED, and WELL certifications are a plus.
MERL or FieldManager experience.
Experience in Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Teams.
