Position Overview:

As an Estimator at Progressive Sitework, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction phase of our projects. You will be responsible for accurately assessing the costs and quantities associated with earthwork and underground utilities work, ensuring our clients receive competitive and comprehensive estimates. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of construction processes, have the ability to work with construction materials, and excel in estimating quantities. Familiarity with estimating software is preferred, but not mandatory.

Key Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an estimator for excavation, utilities, erosion control, and/or grading projects is essential.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction processes, including a strong grasp of construction materials and estimating quantities.
• Experience with estimating software is preferred, but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in reading site plans and the ability to develop cost estimates efficiently.
• Strong team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with clients, project teams, and vendors effectively.
• Exceptional organizational skills and a self-motivated, multitasking mindset.
• Deadline-oriented with the ability to deliver accurate estimates on schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with project teams and clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
• Review and analyze project documentation, including plans, specifications, and other relevant information.
• Utilize estimating software and industry best practices to calculate material, labor, and equipment costs.
• Prepare comprehensive and competitive cost estimates for earthwork and underground utilities projects.
• Present and communicate estimates clearly and effectively to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Maintain organized records of estimates and project data for reference and historical purposes.
• Continuously update knowledge of industry trends and construction technologies.
• Meet project deadlines and contribute to the successful execution of projects within budget.
