CONSTRUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

Progressive Construction Services, LLC is an established General Contractor and Construction Management firm working in Milwaukee, Madison, and Tomah, WI. We have an immediate need for a Superintendent with 1-3 years of experience running work as a Superintendent and who is eager to learn and grow with us. The available position requires travel between Milwaukee/Madison; living between the two locations would be ideal. We are seeking a Superintendent who is self-motivated, organized, and has leadership skills to manage construction projects. This person will also be flexible and innovative with problem solving skills and operate with a high-level of integrity.
Principle Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manages day to day construction activities from mobilization through punch list completion including cost management, subcontractors, schedule, and interaction with the project team.
- Quality control in all aspects of the project and to maintain an ongoing punch list on the project.
- Qualified candidates will be proficient in subcontractor management, scheduling, and cost control of general conditions.
- Coordination of delivery of equipment and materials.
- Coordination of all required inspections and testing.
- Must be able to coordinate and track requirements for labor, equipment, material, and subcontractors to meet project milestones, goals, and expectations.
- Coordination of all project meetings including but not limited to pre-installation meetings and weekly meetings with the ability to prepare 3-Week Look Ahead schedule with sequencing.
- Ability to provide site specific sequencing, staging, work plans, etc.
- Ability to prepare project specific safety plan and manage safety in all aspects of the project.
- Management of project paperwork including daily reports, weekly safety toolbox talks, project photos, etc.
- Prepare RFIs and submit for issues requiring clarification and coordinate with the Project Manager and Project Coordinator.
- Ability to communicate with all team members, owners, architects, and engineers to ensure complete understanding of project scope, goals, and expectations.
- Ability to read plans and specifications to develop trade disciplines scope of work.
- OSHA 30 training required; OSHA 30 Construction preferred. Ability to manage the day-to-day activities of multiple subcontracted construction trades, safely, on time, and per the specified quality standards.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years minimum experience running work as superintendent with experience in commercial construction. Healthcare experience beneficial.
- Experience in subcontractor management a must.
- Experience using smart phones MS Windows, Excel, and Word.
- Scheduling experience in MS Project a plus.
