Project Manager for Commercial Construction

An established and growing Commercial Construction General Contractor and Construction Management firm headquartered in Janesville, WI, operating in Milwaukee, Waukesha, Madison and southern Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager. The ideal candidate will be self motivated, organized, and have leadership skills to estimate and manage construction projects. This person will also be flexible and innovative with problem solving skills and operate with a high level of integrity.

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee and manage construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to lead teams effectively. This role requires a keen understanding of project specifications, timelines, and budgets, ensuring that all aspects of the project are executed efficiently and to the highest standards. Job Description:

Lead and manage all administration of construction projects including contract management, change requests, RFIs, submittals, scheduling, and owner meetings.

Must be able to independently lead and manage construction projects from concept/bid to warranty/closeout.

Must be able to coordinate and track requirements for labor, equipment, material, and subcontractors to meet project milestones, goals, and expectations.

Ability to provide detailed bids to include subcontractor proposals, self-performed work, permits, etc.

Communicate with all team members, owners, architects, and engineers to ensure complete understanding of project scope, goals, and expectations.

Qualified candidates will be proficient in construction estimating, scheduling, cost, and subcontractor control.

Ability to read plans and specifications to develop trade disciplines scope of work.

Ability to develop a 3-week look ahead schedule for all subcontracted and self-performed work.

OSHA training required. Ability to manage the day-to-day activities of multiple subcontracted construction trades, safely, on time, and per the specified quality standards.

Qualifications:

3-5 years minimum experience in commercial construction. Medical facility experience is beneficial.

4-year degree in construction management and/or engineering.

Experience in estimating in construction, bidding, and subcontractor management a must.

Salary is negotiable based on experience.
