POSITION SUMMARY
Coordinate activities involved with procuring goods and services such as raw materials, equipment, tools, parts, and supplies for the company. Support year-end physical inventory.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Prepare and process purchase orders or bid requests.
· Consult with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
· Review alternate supply sources, including sourcing new vendors for cost reductions and improved quality.
· Maintain procurement records such as purchased items or services, costs, delivery, product quality or performance, and inventories.
· Audit and approve/disapprove invoices that are not in compliance with purchase order quantity or pricing.
· Expedite delivery of goods to users.
· Discuss defective or unacceptable goods or services with quality control personnel, users, and vendors to determine source of trouble and take corrective action.
· Support year-end physical inventory activities.
· Review and process purchase requisitions from other departments.
· Update all purchasing charts, records and reports.
· Backup and support other Supply Chain positions as necessary.
· Responsible to learn, follow, and support the policies, procedures, and work instructions of the company’s quality system.

Education
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Supply Chain management, Logistics and supply chain operations, procurement and contract management, operations management, or a related field
Experience
Minimum Five (5) years of procurement, purchasing, or vendor communication in a manufacturing environment.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
· Microsoft Office Suite
· Familiarity with ERP systems; Specifically Global Shop Solutions
· Strong Analytical and organizational skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
· Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
