Ophthalmic Technician

Progressive Eyecare in South Jordan, UT needs an outgoing and motivated person to join our team as a full-time Ophthalmic Technician! This is a great entry-level opportunity for a current student, medical assistant, or anyone interested in getting into the field.

You get to help others and learn new clinical skills while earning a base pay plus bonus incentives. Our base pay starts at $16.00/hour, and you can push that up closer to $20.00 - $24.00/hour with bonuses.

THE INS AND OUTS OF BECOMING OUR OPHTHALMIC TECHNICIAN

THE SCHEDULE:

Full-time hours are available. We are open from Monday - Thursday, 8:00 am - 6:30 pm, Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm, and Saturday, 8:00 am - 3:00 pm. Candidates who can work every Saturday get schedule preference!

YOUR ROLE:

You support our optometrists in delivering exceptional care to our patients. On a day-to-day basis, you assist in conducting both preliminary eye exams and more complex tests. Attentive to detail, you document patient information, update their records, and record their treatment plans. You uphold an upbeat and friendly attitude throughout the day and leave a positive impression on our patients.

OUR REQUIREMENTS:

• High school degree or equivalent
• English fluency
• Computer proficiency and typing skills
• Ability to work on your feet throughout your shift

Experience in an eye care or medical assistant position would be preferred. Being bilingual would be a plus! If you're organized, communicative, and helpful, we want to hear from you!
