Registered Nurse Supervisor position at PHP Alabama is responsible for assisting the Health Services Director in the delivery of health related services to our residents with intellectual disabilities. - Participates in the admissions and discharge processes for individuals including planning and evaluation.
- Participates in the development of individual planning ensuring all health needs are identified and addressed.
- Assist with physical assessments of new employees, annual PPD’s, vaccines, illnesses and injuries of employees when needed.
- Completes and maintains all documentation regarding programming, health and safety, comprehensive assessments, including daily observation, log sheets, and daily reports.

- Schedules, teaches, or delegates staff in-services, new hire and ongoing trainings as assigned.
- Assist with the completion of all internal and external monitoring, including reports, action plans and corrective actions per established times.
- Valid and current Registered Nurse license to practice in the state employed required.
- Minimum two years of nursing experience required.
- Minimum of one year’s previous supervisory experience required.
- Experience working with developmentally disabled individuals.
- Must be CPR Certified.
- Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record.
- Must pass a background check including a drug & TB screening.
- Ability to work in close physical contact for providing personal hygiene assistance to individuals.
- Must be physically capable of transferring and lifting persons with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be able to reach, bend, kneel and stand for periods of time.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and staff.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
