Progressive Careers & Housing is seeking a dedicated professional to add to our team as a Program Director at our University Park, IL. facility for persons with Intellectual Disabilities.
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Community Day Service, the Program Director is responsible for participating as a member of the management team to ensure safe and effective vocational services. The Program Director serves as the primary planner and coordinator of the operations of the assigned vocational program. The Program Director at Progressive Housing, Inc. is adaptable, mission oriented, goal driven, highly organized, efficient, and exercises good judgment and decision-making skills.
Areas of responsibility for the Program Director include but not limited to:
- Ensure that the assigned developmental training site is in compliance with current policies and procedures, state and federal rules and regulations, and assist with ongoing development, reviews and revisions.
- Become a member of the facility QA, safety, infection control, treatment review, human rights, clinical monitoring and pharmacy committees. Stay abreast of all HCBS, BQM, and BALC regulations for compliance purposes.
- Assist facility with increasing revenue by reviewing staffing, implementing marketing plans, fine-tuning inventory control and developing and complying with budgetary constraints. Review all new admissions to ensure the facility can meet their needs.
- Assist with prescreening and recruitment of QIDP's and Developmental Trainers. Ensure all orientation, training, CE's and paperwork is completed and in compliance.
- Monitor petty cash distribution and snack shop funds.
- Monitor and approve payroll for employees reporting to the assigned site.
- Monitor and approve census for the site by the 1st of the month.
- Maintain health and safety binder ensuring all current information is documented.
- Conduct or delegate the routine inspections of facility and completion of the Quarterly Environmental; submit to VP of CDS and ensure all issues are addressed with maintenance where appropriate.
- Complete Quarterly Significant Events for assigned site and submit to VP of CDS. Ensure proper documentation of all incidents and train staff when needed for proper documentation. Ensure all significant events are reported in the CIRAS system within 2 business days.
- Maintain monthly community outing calendars and activity schedules and document in accordance with HCBS regulations.
- Ensure Qt DPs are meeting with the staff regularly (weekly), and PD meets with the staff at least monthly to provide updates, changes, etc.; maintain meeting minutes.
- Ensure that all clients are offered opportunities for community integration and that all clients rights are upheld and treated with dignity and respect.
Requirements:
- 2 years experience working with developmentally disabled persons
- Must be a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional or meet the State educational requirements
- Experience working with vocational services preferred
- Will be required to become PACE certified
- Must have valid driver's license and comply with company policy for driving vehicles
- Be willing to accept and respect supervision and assume responsibility for assigned work, follow established policies and procedures and follow instructions
- Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast paced environment to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy
