Job Description

- As a Direct Support Professional at Progressive Housing, Inc., you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our residents. You will provide direct support, positive direction, and assistance to individuals in accordance with program policies and procedures. ">
- Your primary responsibilities will include assisting individuals with their activities of daily living (ADLs), promoting independence, and fostering a clean, safe, and positive living environment. ">
- You will also be responsible for reporting any medical concerns or incidents to the Resident Services Director or Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) and Nurse. ">
- In addition, you will participate in in-service training as required to continue skill development and complete paperwork necessary to meet regulatory requirements. ">
Requirements

- A High School Diploma or equivalent is required. A certified DSP, CPR/First Aid certification, and Medication Administration certification are also essential. ">
- You must have a valid Illinois driver's license and be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen. ">
- Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred but not necessary. ">
- Ability to lift at least 50lbs, daily standing, bending, lifting is also required. ">
