Social Impact & Policy Coordinator
MQVN CDC seeks a dynamic Social Impact & Policy Coordinator to build and sustain meaningful partnerships that support our mission. This person will be a confident, go-getter with a strategic mind who enjoys fostering relationships with community groups, coalitions, and government agencies. The ideal candidate will understand healthcare, social justice, human rights, and the social determinants of health and represent MQVN CDC at community, coalition, and government meetings. They'll also manage social media efforts, create marketing materials, and cultivate partnerships, which includes uplifting and expanding our organization's visibility and impact.
- Community Engagement:
- To advance MQVN CDC's mission and initiatives, build and maintain strategic partnerships with organizations, community groups, coalition partners, and government agencies.
- Act as a bridge to foster deeper relationships with local Asian, Latinx, and Black communities, bringing a nuanced and culturally sensitive approach.
- Attend and present community, coalition, conferences, and government meetings to represent MQVN CDC's interests and engage with stakeholders to build trust and solidarity.
- Design and implement community events for MQVN CDC.
- Social Media & Communications:
- Elevate MQVN CDC's visibility online, bringing professional experience and perspective to our digital and social media communications.
- Develop and implement a strategic social media plan to amplify MQVN CDC's impact, activities, and core messaging.
- Create and manage social media and website content that authentically resonates with diverse community audiences and aligns with MQVN CDC's voice and mission.
- Engage and inform our online community about MQVN CDC's programs, healthcare access, social justice, immigrants, and social determinants of health, fostering an interactive and informative online presence.
- Develop and implement a storytelling campaign to gain visibility.
- Advocacy & Policy Support:
- Collaborate with policy and advocacy teams to support MQVN CDC's policy objectives, particularly in healthcare, social justice, and social determinants of health. (Women, Children, Wellness, Health, Immigrants).
- Integrate complex information from multiple sources into consumer-friendly content targeted to various audiences such as press alerts and releases, funders, consumer stories, op-eds, letters to the editors, website blog posts, social media, emails, and educational material.
- Assist in preparing briefings, reports, and presentations for community, government, and board meetings to represent MQVN CDC's stance on critical issues.
- Update and maintain MQVN CDC's media list and build strong relationships with media, including reporters and editorial boards.
- Multilingual is a plus.
- NO RELOCATIONS, must be local with contacts and network to assist with executing the duties of this role.
Salary : $55,000 - $75,000
