Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Press Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating various types of presses to produce high-quality components. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Performs press operations in accordance with Operation Standards.
- Detects and reports defective materials to a supervisor.
- May perform minor machine adjustments for the quality of a product.
- Operates both single-hit and progressive stamping presses
- Press ranges from 45-275 tons
- Verify part quality during the production run
- Records production data
- Performs general clean-up and organization of work center.
- On-the-job training available
- Other duties as assigned to support production levels
Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED.
- Follows all safety requirements of the company – PPE, (glasses, steel-toed boots, hearing protection, gloves, etc.) safe job behaviors, etc.
- Regularly required to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Able to read and understand job instructions and product labels.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and meet production requirements
Work Environment
- Plant environment.
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
- Regularly exposed to noise, etc.
