What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician position at Progressive Manufacturing, Inc.?
We’re looking for a Quality Control Technician to join our team in Newport, NH. This is a hands-on role that spans both our sheet metal fabrication and gas appliance assembly departments. You'll monitor production processes, inspect parts and assemblies, and help ensure our products meet internal and regulatory standards. This position requires attention to detail, a methodical approach to problem-solving, and a willingness to train in relevant ANSI and UL requirements.
What You’ll Do
- Inspect parts and finished products in both the fabrication and assembly departments
- Monitor and document quality throughout the production process
- Use measurement tools (calipers, gauges, etc.) to verify product specifications
- Support internal audits, equipment calibrations, and documentation control
- Assist with training team members on quality standards and best practices
- Learn and apply relevant ANSI and UL standards for gas appliances
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and assembly teams to identify and resolve quality issues

- Prior experience in sheet metal or mechanical assembly environments
