The Outpatient Therapist is responsible to provide diagnostic assessments, therapy, counseling, and support services for a mixed caseload including adults, adolescents, children, and families experiencing mental health issues, or experiencing life transitions and adjustments that they need assistance navigating (Unless otherwise discussed during the hiring process regarding specialties). The outpatient therapist will work as part of a team, providing services to a broad population of clients.
Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Technician to join our team. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing support and care to individuals with mental health conditions. Duties:
- Assist in the implementation of treatment plans under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals
- Conduct individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based therapeutic techniques
- Provide direct support to individuals with mental and emotional health challenges
- Monitor and document patient progress, behaviors, and responses to treatment
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement behavioral interventions
- Assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques as needed
- Support patients in developing coping skills and improving their overall well-being
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and treatment plans
Requirements:
-Master's degree in counseling, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Experience in Christian counseling or clinical counseling is acceptable
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and therapeutic techniques
- Familiarity with ICD-9 coding for billing purposes
- Ability to work effectively with individuals and families related to the mental health field
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a dyniamic team
- Compassionate and empathetic approach towards patients' needs
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines
