Electrical Engineer/Sr. Electrical Engineer

I am working with a top utility client who is looking add both an Electrical Engineer and Snr. Electrical Engineer to grow their teams! More details below, message me if interested in this opportunity!

Locations: Atlanta, GA; Chattanooga, TN; Charlotte, NC
Contract Duration: 12 Months potential extension

Qualifications:
- 4 years in physical or Protection & Controls (P&C) design work
- FE or EIT Certification (PE Preferred)
- Familiarity with NEC, NESC, IEEE, NEMA, and ANSI codes and standards
- 3 years of electrical engineering experience, consulting preferred
- Strong engineering techniques, procedures, and computer skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities:
- Protection & Controls Design:
- Create/modify electrical diagrams, schematics, and relay panel arrangements for substations
- Perform calculations for DC battery sizing, AC load sizing, voltage drop, and more
- Develop technical specifications for high-voltage equipment
- Coordinate with SCADA engineers and P&C design staff
- Apply field mark-ups and assist with client communication

Physical Design:
- Prepare general arrangements, yard layouts, and bills of materials for substations
- Develop technical specifications for major equipment
- Perform lightning protection, grounding analysis, and lighting plans
- Coordinate with P&C, civil, structural, and transmission line engineers
- Apply field mark-ups and assist with client communication
